Terms of Service

1. General provisions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between SelfIO ("Provider") and individuals or legal entities ("Client") who use the online booking and photo studio rental services provided by SelfIO.

By making a booking, the Client declares that they have read, understood, and fully accept these Terms as well as the Privacy Policy of SelfIO. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not proceed with a booking.

These Terms are binding on all users of SelfIO services and constitute a contract between the parties.

3. Description of service

SelfIO provides a photo studio for rent, equipped for individual and group photoshoots, intended for creative activities. The studio is used independently by the Client, without staff present during the session, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

All services are provided solely on the basis of a previously confirmed booking. SelfIO reserves the right to refuse a booking in case of violation of these Terms, suspicion of abuse, or technical impossibilities, without being required to provide reasons.

4. Booking

4.1. The booking process is carried out entirely online and includes the following steps:

• Selection of service, date, and time slot
• Filling in the required personal details
• Acceptance of these Terms of Service
• Payment of the full service fee

4.2. A booking is considered valid and confirmed only after successful payment. An unconfirmed booking does not create any rights for the Client.

4.3. After a successful booking, the Client receives a confirmation email containing booking details and a personal access code for the studio.

4.4. SelfIO is not responsible for bookings made based on incorrect information provided by the Client.

5. Studio access and conditions of use

5.1. The Client gains access to the studio solely through the personal access code provided upon booking confirmation. The code is strictly personal and non-transferable.

5.2. The Client undertakes to:

• Not share the access code with third parties
• Use the studio only within the reserved time slot
• Vacate the studio by the stated end time, regardless of when they entered
• Leave the studio in the same condition as found

5.3. In case of late arrival, the reserved time is not extended or compensated. The Client does not owe additional payment but is not entitled to compensation for lost time.

5.5. End of booking and vacating the studio

After the reserved time slot expires, the Client has an additional 5 (five) minutes to wrap up and vacate the studio. This is a technical buffer and does not constitute an extension of the booking.

If the Client remains in the studio after these 5 minutes, SelfIO automatically charges an additional fee of 50% (fifty percent) of the hourly rate for each commenced hour of overrun. The Client is deemed notified of this fee by accepting these Terms.

5.6. Entry to the studio is self-service. SelfIO does not provide on-site staff during sessions.

6. Pricing and payment

6.1. All listed prices are final and include applicable taxes. Payment is made entirely online at the time of booking via a secure payment system (Stripe).

6.2. An unpaid booking is not considered confirmed and does not obligate SelfIO to provide access.

6.3. In the event of a double charge or technical error by the payment system, the Client must notify SelfIO at [email protected] within 48 hours. SelfIO will investigate and take action within 10 business days.

6.4. Promotional codes and vouchers are applied at the time of booking. They cannot be combined with other discounts unless explicitly stated. Promotional codes have an expiry date after which they cannot be used.

7. Client requirements

7.1. SelfIO services are intended solely for persons aged 18 or over. Minors may use the studio only in the presence of and under the full responsibility of a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, who accepts these Terms on their own behalf.

7.2. The Client undertakes to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when booking
• Arrive on time for the reserved session
• Treat the studio equipment, fixtures, and space with care and respect
• Not use the studio for illegal, unethical, or third-party-harming purposes
• Comply with the internal regulations of the venue, posted prominently in the studio
• Notify SelfIO promptly if cancellation or modification of the booking is required
• Not bring persons other than those indicated at booking into the studio without prior consent from SelfIO

8. Cancellation and rescheduling policy

8.1. Due to the nature of the service, the following conditions apply:

• Full refund: in case of technical problems or circumstances where SelfIO cannot provide the service — within 10 business days
• Rescheduling: permitted upon request made between 24 and 72 hours before the start; permitted only once per booking
• No refund: in case of no-show without prior notice
• No refund: for cancellations requested less than 24 hours before the start
• Full refund minus 10% admin fee: for cancellations requested more than 72 hours before the start

8.2. All cancellation or rescheduling requests must be sent to [email protected]. Verbal notifications are not accepted.

8.3. Refunds are processed using the same payment method used at the time of booking.

9. Compensation

9.1. In the event of damage to SelfIO equipment, fixtures, or property caused by the Client, the Client is liable for compensation in the full amount of the actual damage. SelfIO reserves the right to take legal action to recover the amount owed.

9.2. The amount of compensation is determined based on a documented damage assessment. The Client is notified in writing (by email) within 5 business days of the damage being identified.

9.3. The Client is also liable for compensation in cases of:

• Leaving the studio in a neglected or dirty condition requiring extraordinary cleaning
• Disclosing the access code to unauthorised third parties, resulting in damage
• Using the studio outside the reserved time slot

9.4. SelfIO may retain the pre-paid booking fee as partial compensation if the Client has caused damage, and may claim the difference up to the full amount of damages.

9.5. In the event of unjustified activation of emergency or security systems by the Client, the Client bears the costs associated with the response of competent services.

10. SelfIO liability

SelfIO guarantees:

• Availability of the studio for all confirmed bookings
• Technical functionality of provided equipment at the time of booking
• Secure processing of Client personal data in accordance with applicable legislation

10.1. SelfIO is not liable for:

• Personal belongings left in the studio by the Client
• The outcome of the photoshoot when dependent on the Client's subjective preferences or skills
• Damage caused by improper use of equipment by the Client
• Delays or inability to provide the service due to force majeure, including natural disasters, outages, regulatory prohibitions, etc.

10.2. Where SelfIO bears liability, it is limited to the value of the paid booking.

11. Self-service use

11.1. The Client acknowledges and accepts that the studio is used independently, without assistance from SelfIO staff during the session.

11.2. The Client bears full responsibility for:

• Proper use of the provided equipment
• Their own safety and that of persons they bring into the studio
• The results of the photoshoot

11.3. SelfIO is not liable for personal injury or property damage caused by improper use of equipment or violation of the usage regulations.

12. Copyright and content

12.1. All photos and materials created by the Client during the session are their intellectual property.

12.2. SelfIO may not use, distribute, or publish the Client's photos without their explicit written consent.

12.3. The Client undertakes not to create content that infringes the rights of third parties, national legislation, or public order and morality.

13. Personal data

SelfIO processes the Client's personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Bulgarian legislation. Full information on the data processed, purposes of processing, and data subject rights is contained in the Privacy Policy, available at selfio.bg.

14. Changes to Terms

14.1. SelfIO reserves the right to unilaterally update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect from the moment of publication on selfio.bg.

14.2. For material changes, SelfIO will make reasonable efforts to notify Clients by email or via a notice on the website. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14.3. The current version of the Terms is always available at selfio.bg.

15. Applicable law and dispute resolution

15.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria.

15.2. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavour to resolve it amicably. If no agreement is reached, disputes shall be referred to the competent Bulgarian court.
